Powell Presbyterian Church, 2910 W. Emory Road

Introduction to Permaculture

with Dr. Chad Hellwinckel

and Self-Watering Container Gardening

with Lee Robbins

Dr. Chad Hellwinckel, Research Assistant Professor, U.T. Agricultural Policy Analysis Center, will introduce us to Permaculture–a natural, ecological approach to siting your dwelling, gardens, woods, and fields to get maximum benefit from sun, wind, water, soil, and topography. The result is low-impact, self-sustaining, maximized production of food, fuel, fiber, fodder, and flowers...getting most of what you need to live from your home.

Gardening with less work, less water, less fertilizer, fewer weeds, fewer bugs? Lee Robbins, avid gardener and BCWA Board member, will demonstrate how to grow veggies and flowers any place you have sunlight–even on your deck or driveway!
Whether you’re new to gardening or an old pro, get some tips for a bountiful garden!
